Our client sought a comprehensive solution for employer branding and recruiting. The goal was to develop a modern career page that not only clearly presents open positions but also enables a seamless application process – including automatic transfer to the internal HR tool.
Initial Situation and Objectives
Our client aimed for a future-proof solution for employer branding and recruiting. The goal was to develop a modern, multilingual career page that:
positions the company as an attractive employer,
clearly presents open positions,
offers intuitive user guidance,
enables a seamless and media-break-free application,
and automatically transfers applications to the existing HR system.
Although a career portal already existed, it no longer met the increased requirements regarding user-friendliness, brand presentation, and technical integration. Our task was to fully redesign and update the portal.
Solution Approach and Implementation
a) Strategy and Concept
An extensive analysis of existing structures, target group needs, and brand identity was conducted initially. Based on this, a UX/UI concept was developed that is both functional and visually compelling and aligns with the corporate identity.
b) Design and Structure
The design was clear, modern, and user-centric. Focus was on clarity, brand strengthening, and user guidance. The following pages and modules were designed and implemented:
Career Portal Homepage: Clear entry with emotional branding and call-to-actions
Company Overviews: Brief presentations of the various companies
Job List with Intelligent Filter Function: By type of employment, country, company, category, and position
Job Offer Details Pages: With all relevant information and direct application possibility
Key Facts & Benefits: Illustrative presentation of employer advantages
Language Menu and Internationalization: Multilingual availability to cover all international locations
c) Technical Implementation
Fully responsive implementation for mobile devices
Direct application on the website: User-friendly application form
Automated transfer of applications to the internal HR tool via API interface
GDPR-compliant data processing
Features and Challenges
A key challenge was the technical integration of the application process into the client’s internal HR tool. Here, it had to be ensured that incoming applications were not only fully but also structurally and error-free transferred to the existing system, allowing HR staff to process the data without additional steps.
