Web portal with shopping function for the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff and the Touriseum in Merano
Trauttmansdorff in Merano is a place where botany and history become an experience. The internationally popular South Tyrolean excursion destination is surrounded by spectacular garden landscapes that span over 12 hectares. Amidst the botanical gardens stands Trauttmansdorff Castle, which today houses the Touriseum - the South Tyrolean Museum of Tourism. It tells of 250 years of alpine tourism history and shows how tourism has changed and influenced the country and its inhabitants.
1 Location – 2 Attractions. This approach should also be reflected in the new web portal. The goal was to unite the previously separate websites for the gardens and the Touriseum and create a unified online presence.
About the Project
The joint appearance was not the only special requirement. The external ticketing systems should be integrated into the new portal so that users no longer have to be redirected to third-party providers when purchasing online tickets. teamblau rose to the challenge and developed various interfaces for this purpose: to the ERP system MidaTicket, the tour tool Bomasy, and the state payment interface pagoPA.
The new portal www.trauttmansdorff.it can therefore essentially be seen as a complex content site with numerous shopping functions. Shopware 6 provides the necessary flexibility to meet both technical requirements, such as the interfaces, and to organize and present content in the best possible way.
About the Design
For the web design, teamblau was inspired by the new corporate design of Trauttmansdorff. Expressive images and a cheerful, modern appearance convey a sense of joy and give the website its own charm. The bright colors, which were already present in the previous website, were retained and help create a clear recognition value.
The individually created template also enabled the ideal presentation of events, exhibitions, and activities in the calendar as well as the blog articles in the magazine.
Digital Marketing
The conception and implementation phase of the new website was also accompanied by the online marketing department of the agency teamblau. Together with the team from the gardens and the Touriseum, the following points were worked on:
- Keyword research for the new website, including guidelines for the text of SEO content
- Workshops and training sessions to impart competence in SEO and digital marketing
- Setting up a new newsletter system with an individual template in CleverReach
- Support and advice in the area of content for the new website
Conclusion
The new online presence was implemented in close collaboration with the client's project team. It offers visitors a comprehensive and comfortable online experience while also contributing to increasing awareness and visitor numbers. A complete success, in our opinion.
