How targeted communication and creative gamification make a festival unforgettable.

Digital games, gripping experiences, and packed halls: Gamers Heaven was not only Tyrol's first gaming festival but also a milestone for the regional gaming scene. With a smartly orchestrated mix of online and offline measures and an innovative gamification approach, it managed to excite thousands of visitors over two sold-out days, connect communities, and create a platform for local talents.

Festival Highlights

For two days, the SportZentrum Telfs transformed into the center of the western Austrian gaming community. Whether digital gaming with PC and console games, thrilling e-sports tournaments, or analog highlights like pen & paper, tabletop, and board games – the offerings were as diverse as the visitors themselves. Highlights like the cosplay catwalk, live pen & paper adventure, and four thrilling e-sports finals rounded out the program. With 29 passionate exhibitors, a unique atmosphere emerged, uniting gaming enthusiasm and community spirit.

Planning & Implementation

A successful event strategy starts with clear focus: target group and goal definition, intensive coordination, and precise planning. Close collaboration with the exhibitors and clubs was essential to optimally incorporate their expertise and enthusiasm. BREITETIEFE was not only a strategic planner but also a communicative mediator between all stakeholders. The result: A smoothly organized event that actively involved all participants and convinced across the board.

Design & Campaign Strategy

The visual identity of Gamers Heaven was a key element for success. A consistent, high-quality graphic design ran stringently through all communication channels – from social media posts to flyers and out-of-home banners. Individually tailored ad campaigns and organic content on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Snapchat showcased the program, exhibitors, partners, and the QR code rally. The internally produced video material ensured platform-appropriate implementation, which excited target groups and created a strong connection to the brand.

Storytelling & Community Engagement

Behind every successful event are stories. With an individual storytelling approach, Gamers Heaven put the stakeholders in the spotlight. Creative social media campaigns introduced the clubs and communities, actively involving them and turning them into ambassadors even before the event. This authentic approach, combined with targeted PR and performance marketing measures, drew the attention of the target audiences. Particularly the interactive QR code rally ensured that visitors became actively part of the action.

Online Presence

The website of Gamers Heaven was the digital hub of the festival. Clearly structured and visually aligned, it showcased not only the program but also conveyed the diversity of exhibitors and themes. The seamless integration of a user-friendly ticket booking tool and the high dwell time of over three minutes by around 12,800 visitors underline its central role as an information and interaction platform.

Multichannel Approach

In addition to digital channels, we also relied on analog advertising measures such as flyers, posters, and out-of-home banners at high-traffic locations. Editorial contributions and advertisements in regional media provided additional attention. With a broad-based approach, we achieved 1.9 million social media impressions, over 3,600 interactions, and strong visitor support for the QR code rally. This combination of digital and analog marketing maximized reach and ensured event success.

Result & Impact

Gamers Heaven was a well-planned project from the start, with BREITETIEFE convincing with strategy, creativity, and dedication. The close collaboration with competence partners and stakeholders not only produced impressive results – two sold-out days, 1.9 million social media impressions, and 12,814 website visits – but also created an inspiring platform for the gaming scene. And the success story continues: With double the exhibition space and a target of 4,000 visitors, Gamers Heaven returns in 2025 – ready to reach the next level.
