The Residential Quarter by the Water in Berlin

BREITETIEFE developed the guiding principle, the brand, the complete communication strategy and created content as well as designed all marketing measures for the urban residential quarter 52° Nord – from 2013 until today.

The name we developed has since stood for one of the largest and most innovative residential projects in Berlin – directly on the banks of the Dahme. Over the years of development, to continuously spark interest among our target audience, we developed perfectly tailored sub-brands for each construction phase.

BUWOG currently has a development pipeline of around 55,000 housing units under construction and planning in Germany. BUWOG is pursuing a committed sustainability agenda. In Berlin, according to the bulwiengesa study, BUWOG is the largest private project developer.

10 years ago, BUWOG approached us with the task to develop a brand, a communication concept, and a marketing strategy for a residential project in Berlin-Grünau, situated directly on the banks of the Dahme.

Following the strategically based conception, which we developed in various workshops with BUWOG, 52° Nord – Living by the Water in Berlin-Grünau emerged.

With the brand and the associated project story of 52° Nord, we directly convey the location and size of the quarter. Today, this includes both strong umbrella brand communication and the marketing of all properties for sale as sub-brands, such as BUWOG Dahmebogen.

52° Nord is now known nationally as one of the most sustainable and innovative residential quarters, boasting a 6,000 m2 water basin, extraordinary architecture, and its own community kindergarten.

This is living by the water in Berlin-Grünau.

Result & Impact

The brand, communication, and sales measures align with the overarching vision of the overall project. At the same time, the marketing is oriented towards the changing use behavior of the target audience. Interactively with BUWOG, which was transparently involved in the entire process, we developed a timeless project appearance that sets standards in sustainable real estate marketing.
