The "Mission" begun in May 2022 with the launch of NFBrands.X was seamlessly continued with the start of the BREITETIEFE collective: bringing companies and people closer to the fascinating possibilities of Web3 & Metaverse technologies. In the past twelve months, over 800 participants were taken on a journey through virtual, augmented, and blockchain-based worlds and inspired during presentations, workshops, and keynotes.
A Wide Range of Topics and Target Audiences
Both the basics for beginners and specialized content for various industries were conveyed. Whether executives, HR managers, marketing and communication experts, or sales and distribution specialists – there was something for everyone, and all received valuable impulses, regardless of the size of their respective company.
Knowledge Transfer from North to South and West to East
Since March 2024, engagements in Düsseldorf, Ratingen, Innsbruck, Bolzano, Salzburg, and Vienna have been part of the program. During these, emphasis was always placed on explaining complex terminology in an easy-to-understand manner and placing it in the overall context. This allowed the audience to better understand and classify the relevance of the examples shown. In the hands-on sessions with VR goggles, many participants also had the chance to experience the unique features of immersive virtual (VR) and augmented (AR) realities live & personally.
From Beginners to Experts
The level of communicated topics and examples was always tailored to the respective target audience. Whether introductory lectures for people who have never relevantly engaged with Web3 and the Metaverse or keynotes with individually curated content for specific industries – the content was adjusted as needed for every occasion.
Aha Moments & Fascination
The extraordinary thing about these activities is the many delightful aha moments and positive emotions of the participants. For most, it is the first time they come into contact with these technologies in such a way and are predominantly fascinated by what projects have already been realized and what is now possible.
Inspiring Internationally
Notably, a 45-minute English-language lecture commissioned by the epda – the European Brand & Packaging Design Association – at the drupa 2024, the world's leading trade fair for the printing and packaging industry, in June in Düsseldorf, in the presence of Kai Engelmann.
Home Game and National Strategy
I was particularly pleased with the engagement for the renowned Tyrolean Tourism Talks in October 2024 in my hometown Innsbruck. At the invitation of the Raiffeisen Banking Group Tyrol, I was able – as one of three keynote speakers – to express my enthusiasm for Web3 & Metaverse to over 300 participants at the Congress Igls. Also present in the on-site audience was Alexander Dresen.
A special honor was also the invitation to a workshop with selected experts in January 2025 at the Austrian Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation, and Technology on the topic "What framework conditions are needed for the successful further development of virtual worlds and immersive technologies in Austria by 2035?".
Igniting Enthusiasm
What united all formats was/is the expressed enthusiasm and fascination for the diverse utilization possibilities and use cases in Web3 and the Metaverse. Thanks to the numerous feedback, it is clear: With the contagious passion and the always current best-practice examples from around the world, informative and entertaining edutainment was always provided, leaving a lasting impression.
Now is the Right Time to Get Involved
Even though artificial intelligence is currently a hot topic, it makes absolute sense to deal with the topics of Web3 & Metaverse right away. Even if your company currently has no concrete projects planned in these areas, it is advisable to acquire professional know-how. Whether playfully at a team-building event with the latest VR goggles or in a targeted workshop – a low-threshold approach can lead to unexpected inspirations with relevant added value.
